MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR:

Hi!  I'm Robin!

For over a decade, I have served as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and I am the founder and CEO of the San Diego Breastfeeding Center.

I have worked with thousands of chest/breastfeeding and pumping parents, to help them establish the best lactation plan for them, in a judgment-free and, dare I say, fun way.

Some call me The Troubleshooter: I often work with clients who just haven’t found the answers they need anywhere else.

Which brings us to this course. Every week in my practice, I see how overwhelmed parents feel while trying to plan for their return to work.

More importantly, I've seen that those same parents can significantly reduce their confusion and anxiety, with just a bit of preparation!

I mean, isn’t being a new parent stressful enough?! As a working mom, I’ve been there myself, so I present information from the point of view of a topic expert but also a realist, so you can count on strategies you’ll actually use.

I'm here to help you along your journey! Let's get started!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

  • Q: How much does it cost?

A: Only $29. My mission is to make this information accessible and affordable. For significantly less than the price of a single lactation consultation, you’ll get the video course, handouts, and more.

  • Q: Is the course on-demand?

A: Yes! It’s self-paced. Watch the videos when you get spurts of time in your busy day. The course is broken into digestible individual “lessons” you can watch in a few minutes here or there, to prepare you to return to work successfully.

  • Q: Is this course helpful if I don't work at an office job?

A: The work landscape is changing. Today, “work” can be from a coffee shop, a home office, or in the field. Our course is designed to help you adapt to the general shift from being home and on leave to getting back to work, whatever that means for you! We do address some of the big questions around employer accommodation, but the course is designed to be helpful for any nursing parent with a job outside of the (very big) job awaiting you at home!

  • Q: Is this just about pumping?  Because I know how to do that!

A: No! This course is about much more than pumping. It addresses common pumping challenges that parents face once they return to work, but it covers much more, including:

    • Workplace dynamics - requesting accommodation and more

    • Managing caregiver expectations to support ongoing chest/breastfeeding success

    • Building and protecting milk supply

    • Common problems of returning to work that negatively affect pumping and chest/breastfeeding

  • Q: I am still on maternity leave (or still pregnant).  Can I wait until I actually go back to work to purchase this course?

A: Preparation is the key to success, especially when it comes to chest/breastfeeding. The more time you have to plan your strategy for incorporating chest/breastfeeding and pumping into your career, the better chance you have of avoiding those ‘back to work’ challenges.

  • Q: I love the course!  What else do you offer?

A: This is our first adventure in online course creation, and at this time, it is our only one. However, additional courses for employers and many more resources for breast/chestfeeding parents are in development. Please be sure you’re on our mailing list to find out the latest information about new resources!

  • Q: This course helped me so much!  Do you have a referral code I can give my friends and coworkers?

A: First - thank you! It’s wonderful to hear that our breast/chestfeeding resources have helped make your life a little easier. At this time, we don’t offer referral codes, but be sure to send them over to this page, or suggest they sign up for our newsletter to find out about special pricing and upcoming events.

  • Q: How do I know this advice will work for me and help protect my supply?

A: This course is based on over a decade of on-the-ground experiences with working parents. That said, every parent and baby is different, and therefore we cannot guarantee specific results.

A product like this can’t be warrantied, but we stand behind all that we do and we would never want you to be unhappy! If you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, please contact us in the first 30 days after purchase and we will issue you a full refund.

  • Q: How long do I have access to the course?

A: Once you've bought it, it’s yours! Watch it whenever you like, across any and all devices you own. As busy parents, we know that sometimes it’s helpful to be able to go back and reference things, or you may want a refresher down the line. Revisit the useful lessons and strategies anytime.

I want the Back to Work course to help me return to work with confidence!
